Cloud-native SaaS, made smarter with AI

Hi, I'm Vladimir — I build software that scales.

// Building scalable software since dial-up was the fast option.

I've spent three decades keeping other people's infrastructure and applications from falling over — first networks, then hosting, then large-scale cloud platforms. These days I advise enterprise teams at Adobe on architecture across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, run my own studio building SaaS products that use AI to get smarter, and still enjoy the occasional 2am production fire.

About

Thirty-odd years of keeping the internet running

I got into IT in 1992, back when "the network" meant Novell NetWare and a lot of patience. In 1996 I co-founded PINS, a managed hosting provider that grew into one of the bigger names in Dutch hosting — which is where I learned that uptime is a promise, not a feature.

In 2009 I co-founded eFulFillers, building commerce systems that let merchants focus purely on their product while we owned fulfilment and sales end-to-end. I stayed in that world as founder of Genmato, building for and supporting commerce customers until 2020, then joined Adobe as a Customer Technical Advisor — these days advising on cloud commerce architecture across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

In 2026 I started Quburann, my own studio for designing, building, and operating a growing family of SaaS products, apps, and websites — all under one roof, using AI to make the products themselves smarter rather than just faster to build.

Outside of work you'll find me watching Formula 1 on a Sunday, planning the next trip to Italy, or going for a run to think through whatever broke in production.

Career

The long version

From corporate networks to managed hosting to cloud-scale platforms — the path was never planned, but it rhymes.

1992

First steps in IT

Started out keeping corporate networks alive — Bionet, Novell NetWare, Windows Server. The internet barely existed; uptime still mattered.

1996

Co-founder & CTO

PINS — Perfect InterNetworking Solutions

Co-founded and helped grow PINS into one of the larger Dutch managed hosting providers, running infrastructure for other people's businesses long before "the cloud" was a marketing term.

2009

Co-founder

eFulFillers

Left PINS to co-found eFulFillers, building commerce systems that let merchants focus purely on their product while we owned fulfilment and sales end-to-end. That decision defined the next fifteen-plus years of my career in commerce.

What I actually do all day

These days it's mostly about building SaaS products end-to-end — from cloud architecture down to the AI features that make them smarter, plus the kind of advisory work you call in when the stakes are high.
